ren faire inspo 🧚🏻‍♀️⚔️

going to the ren faire is one of my all time favorite excuses to play dress up. early spring is ren faire season in fl, which means that the turnaround timeframe for turning looks is so small! here are some cost efficient tips I always follow 🫶🏻

1 - reduce reuse recycle ♻️ there are a few old faithful repeated pieces that I use in several outfits, but change up what I pair them with so that they give off a completely different vibe! look for neutral colors, or pieces you can layer with others!

2 - thrifty queens win 🛍️ it’s simply not feasible to order online every time or to spend big bucks on festival booths. that’s why a weekly trip to your goodwill will have your wallet thanking you. oftentimes I’ll be able to snag a long house dress or beach cover up and turn it into something completely different!

3 - get crafty 🎨 three of my most unusual accessories - like the mushroom hat, satyr horns, and oversized button - were all made by me the night before I needed them using only craft store or dollar store materials. let me know if you’d want tutorials!

4 - follow the recipe 🌼 no matter if I’m going for fairy or fawn, mermaid or pirate, I always try and remember to wear a few specific things. comfy shoes, a belt with storage, and of course, BLOOMERS. make sure that your essentials stay essential!
