Got the NB 550 for <$70 😚 it's a steal RIGHT ?! 🤔

ever since this series came out a few years back, I have been eyeing on it but I just wasn't willing to pay $150++ for it 🥹 #AddToWishlist and I usually sit on the idea for very long before buying it. I mean, if I still want it after a year, it means I like it and I can consider buying 😚 unless it's screaming BUY ME

when I went to Korea, I knew I wanted to buy at least a pair of kicks. so I went to many ABC Mart cause that's where all the deals are at right? - I went to the normal ones, grand stage, mega stage, but only 1-2 pairs kinda caught my eyes but were just mehh

but I decided to try my luck in footlocker, and I saw that they were running a promo - 20% discount - on top of the already discounted NB550 so it was ₩71,200 (there's also a tax refund of ₩3,000) 🥳 and I liked the colour and it suits me sooo why not

I was so happy that I finally got my hands on it, but I was a little disappointed 😞 I mean it's quite popular right

the area highlighted - which is where the side bone usually is, as well as when you flex your feet - becomes quite uncomfortable and sometimes to the extent of hurting after wearing it for the whole day 😭 honestly I have never felt uncomfortable in that area when wearing sneakers. it's usually the back or the sides near the tongue that hurts, but this is a different case 🫠 it's at where you would usually flex cause you're walking..

I thought maybe it's stiff or I tightened the laces too much, so I loosened it, and it became slightly better but still hurts here and there :<

if it was the sides that was pain, I could probably say that my feet isn't narrow enough. but as the pain is more on the top (at the bend area when you flex), I feel it could be a design or material thing 🥹

also, I think it's not as breathable compared to other sneakers like Stan Smith etc. my feet feels a little clammy (?) after wearing it out half day 😖

but it's still a quite versatile piece and it's pretty 🥹 and I like the base - it's like chunky but not chunky if you get what I mean HAHAH so for now, I will still give it a chance and try to break into it - probably for like half-day outings etc. I don't think I want to risk walking in it the whole day at the moment 🫠

hopefully it will soften over time, otherwise, it's just sad that it will be casted aside 🥲

if you're going to Korea, do check out any of these kind of stores - not just ABC Mart but also footlocker etc. cause you never know when they have such deals and surely you do not want to miss them !!! 😉😚
