So my baby is finally big enough for his cloth diapers, and we’ve been in them for the last 2 months or so.
He was born at just under 8 lbs., but his diapers looked maaasssive on him. I know there’s a such thing as the newborn hack, but they still looked gigantic, and I was not a fan 😬
Anyway, amongst all of the things I looked into when it came to cloth diapering, the drying situation was the hardest thing for me to make a decision. The only thing I knew for certain was that I didn’t want to throw them in the dryer and risk ruining the waterproof lining or the elastics.
Here’s my problem with most drying racks: they all take up more space than I’m willing to spare, and they can be kind of bulky. I also wanted something that I could easily transport in and outside in the event I ever needed to have them in the sun for stain treatment.
The solution? This drying rack I found on on the zon. I have this linked in my Amazon store (in bio) in case you want one.
There are two racks in the pack. One has 30 clips, and the other has 36. I have 30 pocket diapers, and wash a little over half my stash every dayish, so I have been using the one with 36 clips. This helps me space them a bit further apart to decrease dry time.
Y’all. I did not know how much I was gonna love this rack. It’s amazing 😩🙌🏾
I haven’t had a stain issue yet (thank goodness) so I haven’t had to move them outside – btw, let me know if you wanna know my wash routine. Instead, this lil rack has just been hanging here in my laundry room, and when I wash a load, I can easily hang the pockets on the rack and throw the inserts in the dryer. As for my wet bag, we have hooks in the laundry room, so I just hang it there inside out.
Issa win win for meeee 😏
If you cloth diaper I’m interested in your take on this part of the process. Do you hang dry or throw them in the dryer? I’m nosey. Tell me about it 😬😬
Also let me know if you’re interested in my wash routine and what I’ve been doing to prevent stains.
