Why you CAN’T naturally induce labor!

I know your might not like to hear this if you are trying to natural induce, or get labor started! But here’s the truth.

You CAN’T naturally induce labor!

Your body won’t be able to start labor and actually go into active labor before it’s ready.

The reason labor starts is a cocktail of hormones, starting with your baby releasing a hormone that their lungs are fully developed.

No matter how many spicy foods you eat, how many curb steps or walking you do- it’s not going to kick start this hormone cascade.

If it is ready then there are things that can help move it along and not stall out but that is different!

And I know because I’ve been there when I went to 42 weeks and 4 days with my 2nd baby!! It’s hard to wait but it is always worth it because the result and a fully developed, healthy baby 🥰
