Small business spotlight: Covet and Ginger

While May might actually be small business month, I truly think the holiday season is the small business season. Like other retail companies, small businesses tend to see the most boom and growth during the holiday season.

If you’ve seen my posts or heard of me before, you’ll know that shopping small and supporting small and local businesses is one of my “things”. Not only do I own a small business (oh heyyy, home stretch interiors! 👋), but I love supporting other small business owners and those taking a creative leap.

This is my 4th post in my new series highlighting some very cool small businesses, and I wanted to make sure I did it around this time of year. I know it’s been a hard year for both small business owners and shoppers alike—between layoffs, the cost of living, price increases, and more, it’s been a tough year! And while I know you guys might be understandably pulling back, I want to show you some really great small businesses in case you want to do any shopping this season!

I recently stumbled upon Covet and Ginger, a ceramicist based in Minneapolis. She collaborated with a local blogger to create some really fun and unique holiday ornaments. I picked up a few—a hot dog, croissant, and fried egg—but she had so many cute ones, it was hard to pick!

While I was buying the ornaments, I also found saw she sells handmade magnets. I’m always looking for new fridge magnets, so I also splurged on this as well.
