BUDGET TRAVEL GUIDE TO BUDVA, MONTENEGRO✈️

Budva is one of the best places to visit when you are young and broke!✨

All prices are in USD and based on a realistic budget for BUDGET travelers in Budva, Montenegro💸

🏨Accommodation: $10 to $30/night per person if you stay in a hostel dorm or share an apartment or a double room in a cheap guesthouse with someone. This depends on the season, the lower end of the prices is for shoulder season (May-June or September-October) and the higher end for high season (July-August). I shared a double room with my boyfriend at Georgijevic Room for $10/night per person.

🍛Food: there are plenty of options for $2 to $6/meal. If you cook, you can do it even cheaper than this!

☀️Activities: $0+ depending on what you want to do! I didn’t spend any money on activities in Budva because there are many free things to do, such as several beaches, a coastal walk, and a beautiful old town.

🚌Getting there: You can get to Budva by bus from other popular destinations in Montenegro, such as Kotor, Tivat (airport), Podgorica (airport), or Herceg Novi. Bus tickets depend on the route but are usually between $3 and $8. You can also get there by bus from other Balkan countries, such as Croatia, Albania, Serbia & Bosnia and Herzegovina.

✈️Flights: If you are flying directly to Montenegro, you can fly into Podgorica or Tivat and then take a bus to Budva. Wizz Air and Ryanair have cheap flights to Podgorica and Norwegian and EasyJet to Tivat from many European cities. It’s also possible to fly somewhere else in the Balkans and then work your way towards Budva by public transport if you have time for a longer trip!
