What it's like to fly AirSwift Manila > El Nido

I only recently heard of AirSwift while planning a trip to El Nido, Palawan, Philippines and was skeptical to book but being that it's the only direct flight into and out of El Nido, we sort of had no choice! They also service other destinations around the Philippines and after this experience we had - I would actually prefer and recommend it! Keep reading to know why :)

What we liked:

🦋 Service pre, during, and post-flight were spot on. Any changes in schedule were communicated promptly via email with acknowledgement required.

🦋 Plane interior was a lot newer & well-kept than similar flights we've taken recently with Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines.

🦋 Quite enjoyed their travel magazine!

🦋 Arrived earlier if not on time despite any delays in departure, super smooth flight

Things to note:

🔹 Quite costly because it's the only flight that goes directly to El Nido. In December, we paid Php12,000 (about $200) for a roundtrip flight that takes 1hr both ways (booked 3 months in advance)

🔹 Small / propeller type plane of about 15 rows with 4 people per row

🔹 Limited cabin space, pack accordingly

🔹 Water served upon request

🔹 Plane is entered and exited via the rear, not a big deal for deplaning since it's a relatively small group IMO

My biggest tip is to book these flights early! They're small and can be quite in demand especially around the holidays.
