SIGNING AGREEMENT OF LEASE FOR BTO (WHAT TO PREP?)

This appointment was slightly simpler than all the other appointments. You are literally going there to pay, end of.

So, here’s what to prepare, and some common mistakes people make so you don’t make the same mistakes!

1️⃣ MONEY

The payment is split into 2 parts: CPF and Cash.

(NORMALLY) What you need to pay in cash will be:

Total downpayment (Or 5% if you are on the staggered downpayment scheme) - CPF Savings - Option Fee

= Balance (to pay in cash)

For the cash portion, if it’s below $10,000, I will suggest you just pay by NETs. As long as you increase the limit for your NETs, you can easily pay the $10,000.

For those who have to pay more than $10,000, Cashier’s Order is where it’s at. Cashier’s Order is simply where the bank will basically set aside the money out of your bank, to basically ensure that you have enough money for the payment.

This will allow you to pay big amounts easily, as the daily limits are not always enough!!

2️⃣ IC/Birth Certificate (OR Singpass)

This is simply to verify your identity! Then all you need to do is pay and sign the agreement of lease! It took us about 30 minutes for the entire process, so I would say it was pretty speedy!!!
