41. Nocticadia by Keri Lake
After seeing this book all over social media, I decided to give it a go and was not disappointed. Following Lillia on her journey of self discovery and the truth of what really happened to her mom was incredible. Devryckβs storyline was well done too and both were incredibly paced. The love story was hard won and the banter was top tier. Anyways if you love dark academia, murder mystery, dark romance and spooky ambience- this is the book for you.
42. Solita by Vivien Rainn
What a wonderful quick gothic read! Loved the journey this book took me on and canβt wait to read the next. Sadieβs agony is so well written and her story and heartache moved me to tears more than once. Silasβ motivations remained unclear and the mystery was enough to keep me enthralled. Definitely recommend this inclusive gothic.
43. Silencia by Vivien Rainn
Silencia was a beautiful sequel to Solita. The absolute turmoil that Sadie experiences through years of religious repression and guilt is so hard to read. This book took me a little longer because the heaviness really got to me in some parts and I needed a breather. Her relationship with Silas has an interesting arc from the first book. Here the reader really gets insight into him and his family, as well as his draw to Sadie. The beautiful descriptions really took you to there and Vivian does an amazing job at showcasing a gothic story. Canβt wait for the next!
44. A Dance Macabre by Naomi Loud
An ARC Review: Naomi Loud really put her all into this one! This book really gives meaning to dark romance. I loved the dark world she built in it and the families she threw in the mix. These morally black characters are amazing and I really enjoyed each of them. The romance was great (π₯π₯΅π) and showcased amazing banter and a whole new level of spice. The climax of the book felt a little short for me but the set up and the reveal for the future book two were great! Canβt wait for the next one!
45. Craft Stories I Wrote for the Devil by Ananda Lima
This was a very interesting read. A quick one but had a lot going on. The overall arch of the story was really beautiful with the Devil as a sort of guide to the writer. The multiple craft stories were good but I found myself getting lost in some. Maybe that was the point. This is definitely one that makes you think.
46. Fear the Flames by Olivia Rose Darling
An ARC review : holy ****!!!!! I loved Fear the Flames when it first came out as an indie publication but Darling really changed it up in this new one. I didnβt think I could love this book more but god was I wrong. Iβll be honest, I was sad some parts from the indie were changed but the parts added to the official publication made up for it. Please please please more people read this book!!!!
