Welcome to the 17th Century

This was my first time ever going to a Renaissance Faire and let me say it was an experience! At first it was a little strange seeing this theme play out in-person since I’ve only watched it on movies. Although, it was A LOT of fun to get to know as the day went by!

First things first…

What Is the Renaissance Faire?

-A day to get in tune of our Shakespearean side where you can dress up like a villager, pirate, knight, etc.

Things You Can Do There

-These were a couple of things I did when I was there and food/drink I’ve tried as well. One of them was watching knights joust (didn’t actually hit each other) and areas where they set up opportunity to take pictures in. I felt like I was in Lord of the Rings!

The food I Ate

-Sweet peach fritters was so delicious! It was freshly baked and it wasn’t too sweet for me.

-I tried a somewhat Meade drink and I thought I would hate but it was surprisingly good! I would definitely try it again =)

-Toad in a Blanket (not pictured in here but have to share) it’s a sausage meat wrapped around with a croissant-style bread that was baked to perfection!

These fairs goes on every year around this time and renaissance fair isn’t the only theme. If you like escaping reality and dressing up… this place is for you! 🩷
