My complete guide to Halloween Horror Nights 🎃

Planning a trip to Universal’s Halloween horror nights Orlando? I’ve been the past 3 years so here’s some tricks and tips for surviving the night and getting the absolute most done! This year we got to do all 10 haunted houses plus the show.

- Stay and Scream!

If you want to splurge a little bit more then your basic ticket stay and scream is the way to go. You get to spend the whole day in the park and once it closes down to prep for horror nights you get to stay in the park and get into a line for a house before the gates even open. It saves a ton of time especially if you get in line for one of the popular houses. This year we immediately went to the line for insidious and waited maybe 30 minutes instead of over an hour like it usually is.

- COMFY CLOTHES!!

This is most important, no matter when you go it’s going to be hot. Wear clothes that are cute, comfy and Halloween themed. Plus shoes that you can walk around in all day. Nothings worse than your feet hurting because you wore the wrong shoes. (Also bonus points if you bring a poncho)

- Check the app!

Universals app will show you all the wait times for haunted houses so make sure to check that often! Sometimes a house time will drastically decrease and then you’ll save time by getting there quickly.

- Take a break by seeing the show!

Halfway into the night you’re going to get tired. That’s when we plan to see the show which is an absolute must do! But make sure to get there early since it does fill up quick.

- Stay till the end!

At the end of the night the park clears out a lot and most of the wait times will be 10-15 minutes long. You can knock out a lot of the shorter houses at the end of the night if you stay until the very end.
