is hall life for you ?????????

hey!! with all the nus hall camps happening, thought i'll share my experiences staying in NUS raffles hall as an introvert :-) (i stayed for 2 years)

what i liked ☝🏼✔️🤗

- super great location, takes me 5-10mins to reach back hall from classes

- lots of study spots in school with free wifi + plug (which i think is difficult to find outside)

- meal plan (as a lazy someone who wont eat if there's no food at home, it kept me full and ensured i ate breakfast)

- opportunity to do things you'd never do if not for hall (sports, committees, dance, camp ogls)

- alot alot of fun events + welfare gaogao

what i did not like ☹️👎🏼🐦‍⬛

- distraction from academics / tendency to slack off / time management (me problem though)

- difficulty in trying to fit in or make friends everywhere you go (awkward bean 🫛 moments) BUT not a worry bc i was lucky enough to find a group of friends and we were doing everything together 24/7 it was so fun and nice (introverts can survive too!)

- the hygiene (which was a vv big reason why i didnt want to stay anymore ;( there were cases of toilets being clogged, people leaving their pads/panty liners everywhr and it was js not FOR ME 🚩🚩

in a nutshell! 😋🤍

- my hall life was v fulfilling and i dont regret being a part of RH at all! while i was not the most sociable person nor could i contribute a lot to hall, i truly enjoyed the company and the memories i have earned from the past 2 years.
