Cheaper but BETTER dupe of YSL Candy Glaze🍬

To be clear, for the purposes of this review, we’ll only be comparing the 2 products in terms of their formula and how they perform, and not how similar they are in terms of colour, although I’d say the colours do have a similar vibe hehe :)

YSL Rouge Volupté Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick

2️⃣Contender:

Rom&nd Glasting Melting Balm

✏️COMPARISON✏️

•YSL lippie is more pigmented (based off of a single swipe on the lips), but in Rom&nd’s defense, the Rom&nd lippie is advertised to be a “balm”, which means it’s not really meant to be as pigmented as a colour lip product

•YSL lipstick doesn’t retract, so you have to be careful you don’t over turn the mechanism and end up with too much product exposed - might end up breaking! 🥲vs. you can retract the Rom&nd one

•Unlike the YSL lippie that doesn’t stain at all, the Rom&nd lippie stains slightly, but I think it’s because 07 Mauve Whip is a slightly darker shade in the line, and I doubt the other lighter shades will stain much :P

Overall, I’d pick the Rom&nd one because it’s less than $20 vs. the YSL one that costs $50😱 They’re both very similar in terms of how they make your lips look after application, but I’d have to say, the YSL packaging does feel a lot more lux and heavy to hold and has a slightly more shiny finish than Rom&nd glossy finish (but it’s sooo similar😙)… Hehe would still recommend Rom&nd given the super competitive price point! 🤔😜
