2D1N JB family trip

September school holiday to JB

Had a 2D1N trip to JB with the family and these are places we visited during our trip:

1️⃣. R&F Princess Cove (2BR apartment)

💰 Price: $80/night via booking.com

This was our accommodation for the night. The condo was located right beside JB custom and it has all the amenities a typical condo would have - gym, swimming pool, playground, resident's parking, etc. The apartment was spacious with 2 separate bedrooms and 1 bathroom, but lacking in amenities. Would suggest bringing your own toiletries if you're thinking of renting an accommodation here.

One thing to note is the parking system at the carpark. Might get a little confusing for first timers, especially during checkout.

2️⃣. Toy World Amusement Baby Shark Adventure Ville

💰 Price: RM38/child for full day access

My younger one (6 years old) enjoyed it, but there wasn't much for the older kid (10 years old) to play with except shooting balls using the cannon(??). One guardian can enter the play area for free, but I chose not to because there's a seating area right outside the play area and I got to watch my kids through the CCTV. Not all of the cameras were working though. Is it a place worth visiting again? I don't think so.

3️⃣. KF Kiddy Circuit

💰 Price: RM75/child for 3 rides

1 ride is roughly 8 mins long. We made the mistake of paying for 3 rides per child and had to watch them drive round and round the circuit for 24 mins 😵‍💫. I would suggest just getting 1 ride per child. My POV as a parent - it's fun for the first few rounds but I would probably get bored after 5 mins or so. But the kids seemed to enjoy the entire duration.

4️⃣. VR Zone

💰 Price: RM40/pax

Only the older kid got to play because the min. age requirement is 10 years old and above. You get to select which game you want to play, some games are 360° which means there will be movement involved. The one we chose was just a normal shooting zombie kinda gameplay. Each game requires a minimum of 2 to 4 pax to play. So daddy had to reluctantly join in the game lol.

5️⃣. Restoran Todak

💰 Price: RM180 for a seafood feast 🤤

This place is a must visit for seafood lovers. We had a friend who introduced this place to us. It's an outdoor restaurant facing the sea, and at the other side of the sea is actually Sembawang. For a table of 5, we ordered:

- Chilli crab

- Cereal prawns

- Sambal clams

- Seaweed soup

- Sambal kangkong

- Fried mantou

- Fried egg omelette

- Rice

- Drinks

The bill came and I expect it to be at least SGD100 but it turns out it was only RM180+, which meant that the meal cost us less than SGD60! 🤯🤯🤯 But downside is, don't expect tip top hygiene. Had to approach one of their staff to change the spoon because it was dirty. But that aside, this feast was worth every penny.
