Inside the KTM Jungle Train

The jungle train is basically an overnight train that heads up north towards the Malaysian - Thai border on the West Coast.

Since it's an overnight train, why not opt for bunks rather than sitting upright on seats. NGL, the bunk beds are very comfortable. The only downside was the limited space and all the climbing that you have to do, to get into bed. Oh and not to mention that they dont serve hot Maggi soup on the train any

more.

If you are more that 170cm you must get the bottom bunk, the top bunk is not going to fit you. Windows on the bottom bunk are longer as well.

Carriage 8 is the most ideal carriage as it's a carriage away from the small cafeteria onboard. It's also one of the colder carriages so huddle up.

For folks who get motion sickness easily, you may want to prepare motion sickness medication in case. The gentle swaying honestly wasn't that bad and I had a very good sleep on the train.
