What's your content creation workflow?? 💚

I've been using Google Calendar recently to timeblock my day, and it has been SO helpful when it comes to procrastination and staying on track with work tasks 🗓️ I'm still trying to perfect my content creation workflow routine, but this is the schedule I have been using recently!

Day One (brainstorm & content prep)

The first day in my content creation workflow is all about prepping and planning content. I try to stay AT LEAST a week ahead of content so I'm not scrambling at the last minute, which is so helpful.

I use Notion to brainstorm content ideas and fill out an editorial calendar for the month. I give myself a few hours for this, and I pretty much just like to have everything planned with content shot lists, scripts etc. so it's easier when it comes to content shoot day.

For content prep and plan, I use a few different apps, depending on what needs to be prepped for the next day. I use Planoly for scheduling specific content, creating a mock instagram feed etc. I use Adobe Illustrator and Canva are for any content assets/graphics I will need when it comes to editing. For example, the Google Calendar and app icon overlays on this post are something I get and put into a folder so I don't have to add that extra work during editing.

Day Two (filming & editing)

The second day is all about shooting content and editing it. Depending on how much needs to be done, this process could be longer or shorter than the post breaks down.

For the longest time I was using my Sony ZV-1F camera for ALL content, but I found it was adding a lot of extra time to my workflow by doing it that way. I quickly realized my iPhone takes photos and videos just as high quality, but cut the filming process time in half. So now I mainly use my phone for getting content, and my camera when it comes to bigger projects, campaign shoots etc.

I use a variety of apps for editing (again, depending on the content). For videos, I use CapCut or in-app editing, Tezza for photos, and Canva/Illustrator for graphics and text overlays.
