Malaysian food is among the most diverse and flavourful in Asia, due to our multicultural traditions and history.Kuih is actually a core specialty, with the first recipes created by the Peranakan or Nyonya people. These are the kuihs i bought!

Onde-Onde

Onde-Onde refers to these tiny green glutinous rice balls delight. Soft bouncy skin coated in grated coconut, with sweet, creamy palm sugar filling that bursts and melts in your mouth.

Kuih Ubi

Made from ubi, usually steamed or pan-fried. Recipes range from rice flour with battered eggs, wheat flour and Pandan with sesame seeds

Kuih Koci

A combination of glutinous rice flour, stuffed with grated coconut and palm sugar, this cone-shaped dessert is wrapped in banana leaf and steamed to perfection.

Ang Ku kueh

this mini pastry commonly makes an appearance during Chinese New Year or auspicious celebrations. While its traditionally in red, this cake can come in other colors

Honeycomb cake

The caramel toffee flavour and the spongy, airy soft texture makes this cake a lovely afternoon delight.

Fried spring rolls

Crispy fried spring rolls or Malaysia Popiah with jicama, carrot and shrimp. Served with chili dipping sauce, this is a popular appetizer in Malaysia
