My trip to Manila was a 7/10. A short trip but I experienced pretty much a lot of things in 3 days.
☀️ Local Restaurants
☀️ High End Clubs
☀️ Bars
☀️ Shopping Malls
☀️ Authentic Massage
☀️ Local Supermarket
☀️ Hotel Buffet
☀️ Cheap Grab!!
I stayed in 📍 Astoria Greenbelt, a 3 star hotel that really served 3 star accommodation & buffet breakfast. But! The service is amazing. From the bellboy, to the front desk, to room service. Everyone in Manila is service oriented, polite & helpful.
Manila, Makati, is pretty much well developed with big commercial buildings & malls. Everywhere you go, you’ll also see security guards & police, which gives you an extra sense of security. It’s pretty safe since it’s a busy city.
GRAB 🚗 is SOOOO affordable!! It’s on average $2.50 per trip. Metered cab was literally $1….. Unless going to the airport, which is further, then it’s about $10SGD, which is still so affordable compared to Singapore 🇸🇬
💗MY FAV PART💗
The authentic FOOD 🥘 I love adobo chicken so much & their method of cooking. Visited many local restaurants & trying something new was so good. Even tried Jollibee there & it’s as good.
THINGS THAT WERE ❎❎
Some parts of the streets were dirty or dangerous due to large potholes/drains uncovered with great depth. Unlike Singapore with super safe roads.
The airport is mad crowded & Philippines custom is SLOWWWWWW. Even at supermarkets, expect manual cashiers with no self service kiosks. So that means long queues, & longer waiting times.
In a nutshell though, Manila was beautiful, food was amazing & I’d definitely be back 🌼
