Dates: 30 April - 7 May

Total Cost: $3500-4000/pax

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

🗓️ Optimal Travel Time: Mid-May, avoid the Japanese Golden Week, for potential cost reduction.

✈️ Airlines: Recommend carriers like ANA and JAL for 2 x 23KG complimentary check-in baggage. Book midnight flights for a restful journey. Don't forget essentials like eye masks and hydration face masks!

🚅 Transportation Card: The PaSMO Card for Adults cost ¥500 deposit (refundable minus small admin fee). It doesn't expire and can be used for future trips. Alternatively you can link your credit card to a e-PaSMO card, but I find the credit card exchange rate to be worst than cash.

🍽️ Breakfast Challenges: Many shops open at 11 am, so hotel breakfast or outside purchase is recommended.

----------------------------------------------------

I find myself the most energetic on the first day of any trip, thus I love planning a tight itinerary so I can take it easy for the rest of the days. You'll want to wear some comfortable shoes for most of the trip!

📸 Walk towards Akihabara - You'll pass by Kaminarimon Gate and Nakamise-dori Street which is perfect for photos.

🛍️ Akihabara: Anime town for electronics, arcades, and more.

Mt. Fuji & Yamanaka - Day 3: Tokyo to Yamanaka

----------------------------------------------------

JR express bus from Tokyo Station (fastest route)

Price: ¥1850/per pax

The ride took about 2 hours but honestly it felt like 40 minutes! The bus was comfortable, came with an overhead baggage compartment and larger luggage can be stored under the bus "boot".

The first stop was at Fuji Q themed park. I was amazed at the size of the roller coaster! We decided to skip this this time as we reckon it'll be crowded due to the Japanese Golden Week.

The next stop was ours - Mr. Fuji Station.
