Good afternoon 🍋8️⃣ residents💓

I find reading to be a good way to learn the “easy” way of what motherhood is. Of anything really. And the fact that girls are able to read, think, and express their ideas freely as I do right now was the product of our mothers’ and grandmothers’ and grand grandmothers’ strength, resilience and intelligence. As I grow older, it occurred to me that women so badly wanted to believe that the world is safe for mothers when that is not the case. The mothers who told us young impressionable women that it will be okay is not lying; it will be okay as in it there will be a lot of unnecessary suffering but you will come out just fine because you’re a woman.

Here are my recommendations to better understand motherhood; and the women in, out and around it.
