Book Review: The Last to Vanish

Abigail Lovett is the manager at The Passage Inn in Cutter’s Pass, North Carolina. She’s young, has a good job, and lives in an incredibly beautiful small town just outside of the Appalachian Trail. But Abby isn’t a local to Cutter’s Pass, and the town along with the people who live in it, have secrets.

It all began 25 years earlier when a group of four friends went missing on a hike. Since then, three other hikers have vanished without a trace. Abby had always found the disappearances odd, but the towns people simply claim that it’s just a stroke of bad luck.

But when the brother of one of the missing individuals comes to town, Abby can no longer deny the unusual events that have occurred in the place which she now calls home. And it seems that all trails lead back to Passage Inn and those who she holds most dear in her life.

I had a really hard time getting into this one. The last five chapters were page turners, but it was a hard one to stick with.
