Coffee table styling

When styling my coffee table I like to break it into 3 parts essentially. If I had a square or rectangular table then I would likely break it into 4 sections. Three is a nice number to work with for a round table. I then place my items in these 3 sections. I like to start with one focal or statement piece. It is usually always a vase and stems. On my table here I went with this large Pottery Barn vase and my favorite fall stems from Afloral.

The other two areas I look for something a little more low key. I also like to add in coffee table books for stacking items which provides a nice amount of dimension. Here I placed the wooden knot from Amazon on top of the coffee table book. I then have a decorative ceramic bowl next to those items to complete the design. Sometimes I will add something to the bowl such as pine cones in the fall or golden bells around Christmas time.
