Met this girl at a bar and we have been talking and doing activities for the past 3 months. She was proactive in getting to know me more. I took the first move to confess during a fireworks & picnic date where she giggled about it.

A couple of weeks later, she started to become cold with her texts. This time round I held an advanced birthday dinner for her. She seems touched about it and said that nobody has done this for her. A few drinks into the dinner, she came clean and said she caught feelings for this guy that is abroad.

After dinner, she headed back to my hotel room. We cuddled and held hands through the night. At one point, we made eye contact and I tried leaning in for a kiss. She just paused there and said that the guy would be unhappy with this.

I got her ride and sent her to the doorstep, we found ourselves holding hands throughout the trip, her leaning on my shoulder and resting on my thigh.

Had some of my close female friends commenting on this, would you join your opposite gender friend 1 on 1 at a hotel? Shall leave it to the chat here hmm
