Wow. Another unputdownable thriller, oozing with nods to Agatha Christie. I could SEE this book, with its brilliant descriptions. It’s eerie. It’s claustrophobic. It’s atmospheric. It leaves you guessing the whole way through.

If you’ve ever played the board game Clue, this is like Clue in book form, which I absolutely loved. Heck, there’s even a little blueprint in the front of the book that shows all the rooms in the house. It’s been a minute since I’ve read a classic whodunnit, and it did not disappoint.

I will say, the first couple chapters are a smidge slow, but hang in there. The story picks up fast. There’s also a handful of flashbacks set in the 80s. I don’t normally *love* flashbacks, but these were all executed well and integral to the story.

And of course, there’s a crazy twist at the end that I didn’t see coming. All the pieces come together. What a clever, clever book.
