Ally and I set off from our hostel since she wanted to relive her memories at a sunset spot a local had shown her the last time she was in Taiwan. So off I went with her, none the wiser.

Orange and pink just lights up the sky when we got there via Uber. It was perfect - a local park with just 2 others: a local taking shots of the sunset and Taipei101 in the distance, and an old grandfather.

Ally and I were taking selfies (cos we vain), then she goes to ask the photographer to take a picture of us AND SHE HANDS HIM HER PHONE 🚨 I think that was the only suspicious 🚩 because she would never pass her phone to a stranger 😂

Said stranger tells us to turn around so he can take a silhouette of us facing Taipei101, so we do. Next thing I know, my boyfriend is in front of me, getting down on bended knee. 🥲

🤯 Local stranger was a hired photographer

🤯 Old grandfather started playing the Wedding March on his phone when my boyfriend got down on his knee

🤯 Turns out A’s partner had bumped into my boyfriend on the same red-eye flight, and they were seated across each other therefore A knew my boyfriend had flown over

I said YES 🙌🏻 and my boyfriend then became my ex.
