i bought airalo esims twice in tokyo, and both didn’t work. technically bought the second one to replace the 1st, it still didn’t work. i had to buy another eSIM from shopee, (airalo did refund me) but still doesn’t account for the fact that i was still stranded alone w no data at one point bc the esim didn’t work.

nope, would never do it again personally 🫠

suica - can use for trains/buses in most places ard japan, also can b used in convi stores

u can also connect the suica card to your phone as a travel card, so u can tap ur phone after!!📱

JR pass - super exp now so make sure u are going AROUND diff cities or areas in japan to make ur money worth, and use the JR pass calculator before purchasing to see if its value for money! 🤑

if u dw to STRUGGLE by lugging ur luggages around japan EVERYWHERE…. GET LUGGAGE TRANSFERS, they are lifesaving i promise 💨

some popular ones are yamato transport, takkyubin courier

tourist spots + more established areas mostly accept card, so rmb to bring your @YouTrip SG card bc they truly have the best exchange rates 🤑

smaller food stalls or markets etc might not accept card, so anw u can still just bring your youtrip card & withdraw the cash u need - so u still get better exchange rates! rmb to have some coins as loose change for these stalls ‼️use SERENA5 upon signup for free $5credits as well
