While the original Japanese version focused on supernatural elements and some mild horror, the English dubbed version became notorious for its heavy use of humor, ad-libbing, and cultural references. The dub deviates significantly from the original script, often prioritizing comedic dialogue over the original plot, resulting in a cult following due to its unconventional approach.

Akira (Film)
