8D7N Korea Itinerary 🇰🇷

Day 1️⃣

After landing in Incheon International Airport. We made our way to the train station to busan. Recommend to book the train to busan in advance. We bought the ticket at the train station, and we did not manage to get the ticket timing we wanted, and we had to wait for the next train.

The first meal we had in busan: Geumsubokguk, Haeundae Head Store

Day 2️⃣

1) Eat and walk: Jagalchi Market

Good experience. You can choose the seafood that you want at level 1. They will cook and serve you at level 2.

2) Went to: Gamcheon Culture Village

I did a wrong move to walk up the slope to reach

Gamcheon Culture Village. The slope is quite steep. There is a bus that brings you to the village.

3) Dinner: Daejeong Yanggopchang

I did not take photos of the food because we were so hungry, I only managed to take a photo of the restaurant name. But the busan naengmyeon in this restaurant is so good.

4) Market: BIFF Square

They have the best Sunflower Hotteok. I stayed in Busan for 3 days, and I ate 3 or 4 Sunflower Hotteok.

Day 3️⃣, ➡️ Seoul

1) Lunch: Bonjeon Dwaeji Gukbap

Wanted to eat something near the busan train station, and I happened to see this restaurant. The queue was quite long when we reached. We waited for 30 minutes to enter the restaurant. If you are bringing your luggage, there's a space for you to put your luggage outside the restaurant.

2) We reached Seoul around 5pm. The subway in Seoul was very crowded, and we were carrying our luggage. Never ever take the subway at the peak hour while carrying the luggage.

Day 4️⃣

1) Breakfast: Abalone Porridge near our airbnb

2) Lunch: Kyochon Chicken

Somehow, it tastes nicer than Singapore

3) Teabreak: Yukhoe Jamaejip Jongno 3rd Branch

Experiencing raw beef and octopus. It tastes good, some people might not like the raw taste.

4) Walk around Ehwa Women University

5) Dinner at some random pocha place

6) Shopping: Hongdae Street

There are a lot of street performances to enjoy while shopping.

Day 5️⃣

1) Lunch: Mongtan

This is definitely the highlight for this trip. To go to Mongtan, you can either make a reservation or go down to the restaurant to book. The restaurant open at 12pm, they will open the reservation for walk-in at 11am. We went down at 11 am, there's people queuing, waiting to make a reservation. When I reached my turn, they will ask for the phone number, so that they can contact you, however, I do not have korea number, so the staff just ask me to come back at 12:30pm. Korean BBQ Restaurant, we only ordered beef, because thats the reason we went to this restaurant. It is the best beef BBQ I ever eat. After finishing the beef BBQ, can order fried rice. The staff will put the fried rice on the pan and spread it flat so that the fried rice will absorb the sauce from the beef. It is delicious. This restaurant is quite expensive, but I think it is worth a try.

2) Shopping: HCC Helinox

Wanted to look for a foldable chair. Helinox is a Korean brand known for those outdoor activities equipment. The quality for the foldable chair are top notch.

3) Shopping: MyeongDong Street

The key point to come to MyeongDong Street is to visit the biggest Olive Young in seoul. The moment I entered, I felt like I got into a trap and couldn't get out. There are so many things that I can buy from here. You can easily spend 1hour in the shop.

4) Dinner: Odarijip Ganjang Gejang

Ate raw marinated crab and prawn. The raw marinated crab is so sweet and tasty. I recommend not to order raw prawn. It had a fishy taste.

Day 6️⃣

1) Breakfast: Gwangjang Market

Specially make the trip down to eat Gohyang Kalguksu. Sell mandu chopped noodles. It got popular because it got feature in Netflix Street Food. It is really very good, everything is handmade.

2) Shopping: Wow Vintage

Friends wanted to buy some vintage clothes, so we visited this shop. There are a lot of options, but the vintage clothes are not that cheap.

3) Tea Break: Cheongsudang Bakery

4) Dog Cafe: Samoyed Cafe "Winter Village"

The dogs are very cute.

5) Dinner: Eunhwagye

Chicken BBQ Restaurant. Normally, people won't fancy about Chicken BBQ. But this restaurant will definitely amaze you. This restaurant is at some inconspicuous location, but sell amazing chicken BBQ.

Day 7️⃣

1) Strolling: Bukchon Hanok Village

2) Lunch: Tosokchon Samgyetang

When I reached the place, the queue was extremely long, I queue for approximately 1hr under the hot sun. For my point of view, I felt that the samgyetang was quite normal, there is ginseng inside the soup, I didn't like the Ginseng, but if you like, you can give this restaurant a try. Try to go early to avoid the queue.

3) Tea Break: Metcha

Is located at myeongdong, my friend drinks the matcha, and I drink the hojicha, it is damn good. I keep going back to this place just to get hojicha.

4) Dinner: Woo Lae Oak (Uraeok)

They have BBQ and North Korea style cold noodles. We went there for the North korea style cold noodles. It had a long queue, and I had to wait for 30mins to get seated. I felt that this restaurant was a bit overrated. Without adding mustard sauce, it is tasteless. Have to add mustard sauce to give it more flavourful.

Day 8️⃣

1) Last meal for the trip: Myeongdong Kyoja Main Store

This sell the same dish as the one I ate at the Gwangjang Market: Gohyang Kalguksu. I would prefer the one that is at the Gwanjang Market, it gives an al dente texture.

2) Last day of shopping: Myeongdong Street Shop, name Wantt

On the last day in seoul, while strolling at myeongdong, we happened to see this shop called Wantt. They sell clothes with good quality at a cheaper price, really very worth it.
