Tips for dry curly hair!

Any curly girls out there with the same problem? Hi friends, let’s chat!

I’ve been dying my hair professionally for about 2 years now. I’ve noticed over time my hair has gotten a bit more dry and my scalp gets really itchy especially during the winter time.

I just recently decided to go lighter and I’ve noticed my hair is EXTREMELY dry. I soak my hair in the shower and it’ll dry up within 10 minutes. ☹️ My hair used to take half a day to dry 😭

I’ve tried cutting my hair to get rid of splint ends and I honestly haven’t seen a difference. My scalp is drier than ever and I’ve noticed I’ve developed dandruff. 😔

Let me know if you have gone through this same thing or have any advice on how I can hydrate my hair! 🙏🏽🫶🏽

My current curly hair routine ✨:

💆🏽‍♀️ I only shampoo my hair about once a week.

💦 I wet my hair in the shower every day and apply my leave in conditioner when I step out. I detangle my hair with a denman brush starting from bottom to top. It also helps to define my curls.

☔️ Sometimes I apply a curl crème to my hair depending on the weather and what activity I’m getting into. If it’s really humid or o think my hair is going to frizz real bad I’ll apply this AFTER my leave in and brushing.

🔥 Every other week I try to deep condition my hair with a heat cap I bought off Amazon. If not every other week, at least once a month. My hair feels so smooth afterwards it I swear it only lasts like a day.
