HOME RENO COST BREAKDOWN | $47K ON 4RM RESALE

It’s been a whirlwind these past few months, but we're back with a post-renovation cost breakdown! 🏡💸 Our total reno cost came to a hefty $47K – and that’s just for the reno, not including appliances and furniture (we’ll spill those details another day!).

The kitchen took up the biggest chunk of the budget, no surprise there since we went all out with a complete teardown and rebuild. With our resale flat, we hoped to save by keeping the existing vinyl flooring in the bedrooms and the original doors, but those plans changed fast. 🙃 The condition was way worse than we thought (hello, fuzzy mold! 😅), so everything had to be replaced, setting us back an extra $8K. Worth it, though – it was much needed! There were definitely things we could have skipped, like boxing up the entryway and fridge area or adding those mirrors, but hey, we live and learn!

All in all, it's done and dusted – no regrets! It’s our first home, and we learned so much from the process. Now, we’re just counting down the days until MOP so we can dive into our second project! 🏠✨ #hdb #hdbrenovation #hdbreno #hdbresale
