What is 1,000 hours outside?

1,000 hours outside is something I’ve been seeing a ton of over the past couple of years and this year we decided to give it a go!

It is 1,000 hours of outside time over the course of the year. Right now we are loosely tracking it because we were mainly excited for the motivation it would give us to be outside and since this was our first year trying we are doing as much as we can!

It’s meant to focus on outside time and get kids away from the screen and back in with nature!

We were not doing well with outside time and that’s why we wanted to start this! Being halfway through this year already I am already looking at what I want to do different next year! I want to have a chart and actually document more intentionally which is something we haven’t been doing this year. But we have been doing soooooo good and it has changed us for the better for sure!
