Fourth of July Lemon Cake 🍋🇺🇸

Happy 4th of July, ya’ll! I wanted to share a quick cake recipe incase anyone needed any last minute ideas to bring to a party or to just have for your family. I always have the ingredients on hand because it’s one of those recipes you can whip up quickly if you have somewhere to be last minute.

I’ve been making this cake for years and it comes out great every time. I usually leave the glaze white but thought I would try using a little food coloring to make it Fourth of July themed. It definitely did not come out as I had hoped but that’s ok! I think next time I’ll keep the white glaze only and add American flag tooth picks.

• 1 box Duncan Hines lemon cake

• 1 box lemon flavored instant pudding

• 4 eggs

• 1/2 cup vegetable oil

• 1 cup water

Glaze

• 1 cup confectioners sugar

• 1 tsp fresh lemon juice

• 2 tbs milk

• Add all cake ingredients into a mixer

• Pour into a greased bundt pan

• Bake on 350 for 45-50 minutes

• While the cake is cooling, mix all glaze ingredients together

• Once cake is completely cool, drizzle glaze over the top using a fork
