Love pho so I made my own at home 😁

RECIPE ⬇️

Yields: 4-6 servings

Prep time: 30 minutes

Cook time: 1-2 hours

INGREDIENTS:

For the broth: I used store-bought beef broth from the Asian grocery store, specifically Hmart!! I think it was a Vietnamese brand but I can’t remember the name.

For the pho:

* 1 pound beef flank steak, thinly sliced

* 8 ounces rice noodles

* 4 shiitake mushrooms, sliced

* 1 jalapeño pepper, thinly sliced

* Fresh cilantro, chopped

* Fresh lime wedges

* Hoisin sauce (for serving)

* Sriracha (for serving)

* Fresh basil (for serving)

* Bean Sprouts (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

* Prepare the beef: In a bowl, marinate thinly sliced beef flank steak in a small amount of the broth, fish sauce, and soy sauce for 15-20 minutes.

* Cook the noodles: Cook rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

* Assemble the pho: In a large bowl, add cooked rice noodles. Top with sliced beef, shiitake mushrooms, green onions, and jalapeño pepper. Pour HOT BROTH over the ingredients. Garnish with fresh basil and serve with lime wedges, hoisin sauce, and Sriracha. Add bean sprouts if you want an additional crunchy texture. Enjoy!! 😋

TIp: You can make your own beef broth for a more richer flavor! I’m sure there are recipes online you can find! Most broths at pho places take hours for that deep umami flavor so keep that in mind!
