🇨🇭This is the best day trip from Lucerne

📍Mount Rigi, Switzerland

We visited Mount Rigi in Spring. It was a very easy day trip that gave us a little taste of Switzerland by boat and by good old Swiss cogwheel!

Why it’s the best day trip

✔️The ferry ride (3rd photo) - The day trip started with such scenic views- turquoise blue waters with mountains in the backdrop. The ferry even has a cafe where you can get a drink 🥃 (tip: try not to sit in the front of the boat as it will get way too windy)

✔️The cogwheel (4th photo) - Stunning views over the alps when you travel up above the clouds on the cogwheel. We even saw cherry blossoms, wild flowers and cows on the way up 🐄

✔️The entire excursion (including cruise + cogwheel) is covered in the Swiss travel pass

✔️ Mt.Rigi- panoramic views to the Swiss-Midland, the Alps and the 13 lakes when we reached the summit, it was just spectacular. This is also a very popular day trip due to the many leisure activities it offers all year round regardless of seasons (hiking, skiing, sledding etc)!

Tips:
