Coastal Grandma Aesthetic Must-Haves

Of all the different styles and aesthetics, I’ve got to say my favorite is the coastal grandma trend. I’ve always loved the slouchy, relaxed silhouettes and the the coastal tones and patterns. Anything that makes me feel like I’m in a Nancy Meyers film, I’m obsessed.

If you’re as into this aesthetic as I am, here are a few essentials to build your wardrobe.

1. A cozy sweater - preferably striped.

A slouchy sweater is perfect for breezy nights as the beach, or cozying up with a good book. Bonus points if it’s cream, navy, or grey.

2. Oversized button down.

Again, the key here is that it’s oversized. Perfect for throwing over a swimsuit at the beach or pairing with a pair of linen pants and running to the farm we market. Grab one in classic white or I love a blue and white pinstripe to make it feel extra coastal!

3. A white cotton maxi dress.

Especially this summer, I and SO into cotton maxi dresses. I truly feel like they can be worn to any occasion. They’re classy and girly and most of all comfy! Plus their easy to throw a sweater over at night of it gets chilly.

These are three of my coastal grandma essentials. Overall stick with comfortable fabrics and silhouettes, natural tones, knits, and linens and you’ll be ready for a summer in the Hamptons.
