a trip to the teotihuacan pyramids

if you are planning on visiting Mexico City, add thePyramids of Teotihuacan to your itinerary!

It is about an hour drive from Mexico City. Located in San Juan Teotihuacán

To get there:

• you can either book a tour to the pyramids. There’s a shuttle ride included ($40-$60)

• book a tour to the hot air balloons over the pyramids. There’s a shuttle ride included ($160-200)

• or Uber to the pyramids ($20)

Entrance fee to the park is $5 each person.

The pyramid of the sun is the 3rd largest pyramid in the world. Teotihuacan was the largest city in the Americas, considered as the first advanced civilization on the North American continent, with a population estimated at 125,000 or more.

Since my partner and I didn’t book a tour, the visit was only an hour long. Because of this we missed out on a lot of the history that we would’ve otherwise learned through a tour. So if you are wanting to learn more about the history, I recommend you book through a tour!
