What was the hardest stage from newborn to 12 mths

I'm a first time parent and my baby is a little over 2 month old. This has been the most difficult thing I've done. The sleep deprivation; trying to breastfeed but having all sorts of issues; the crying and not knowing what will make baby happy; all the wardrobe changes; the loss of freedom. It's not all doom and gloom and I love my baby.. but i want to know if it gets easier or harder.
