Boss took my Pitch, no Compensation

So I work at a large home owned vape shop, been working here about 8 months now.

My boss opened a store that's not doing good at all, and my manager was talking to me about it saying that they need help and if I wanted to make some extra money passing out flyers she would talk to the bosses and see if they would pay me for that.

I took this business opportunity in stride, downloaded an advertising app, and made a flyer!

In the flyer I added "10% off when you bring in this flyer" so they'd know how profitable my flyers are being and they'd be aware if it's beneficial to keep paying me for passing them out.

That was a month ago that I pitched it to my manager and sent her the flyer under the condition that she DOESN'T send it to the boss so they wouldn't use my flyer unless I get compensated for it. She was just going to describe it to them and tell them the idea.

I've checked in multiple times since, and it's always the same thing. "Boss hasn't responded" "They are hard to reach" "Their penny pinchers, probably won't go for it" ext.

You can imagine my surprise, after not hearing anything about the flyers, I come in and find an edited version of my idea.

I get that it's a common add, I didn't ✨ specially create✨ it from hours of work.

But the bosses have never put enough effort into the store to make something like this before, and the fact that I wasn't even spoken to or acknowledge kinda pissed me off!

What do y'all think? Am I in the right to be kinda upset about this?

Mine is the purple one, a rough draft I threw together to present it. The green one is the one I found in the store today.
