i have just returned from bangkok and am recovering from the HUGE AMOUNT OF AMAZING FOOD i have consumed, but don’t worry, i am here to share it all! FIRST UP, we have SOMTUM DER - an award winning restaurant serving delectable ISAN food!

Isaan cuisine comes from Northeastern Thailand and is known for food that uses a lot of local herbs, vegetables and spices!

• Kor Moo Tod (Deep fried pork neck with garlic) - SO. GOOD. The perfect crisp on the outside, and juicy, mouthwatering meat on the inside, you CANNOT miss this

• Pad Mama Lang Tu Yen (Stir fried noodles with Vietnamese sausage, fermented sausage and egg) - the spice level is AMAZING

🛋Ambience & thoughts:

• a super eclectic vibe in the restaurant and it just puts you in a good mood

• outdoor and indoor options are available

• but it is a relatively small 2-floored shophouse space, so do make your reservations!

• overall, it’s such an interesting blend of flavours that’s not your typical thai food, so definitely do give it a try!
