Pet strollers and the ignorance of mankind.

Pet strollers.

Love it or hate it.

“Dogs need to feel the earth and be with nature. They don’t need stupid shoes or even worse, those silly little prams their human use as if they’re a human kid. 🙄”

Well, nature is not a concrete jungle with human litter. And humans lived in caves, not grandiose apartments with air conditioning.

I respect your opinion. But nobody asked for it.

Through the years I’ve had dogs with short snouts and have difficulty breathing, short legs that get them tired easily, spinal issues, allergies, unwell and unable to walk, and currently a lovely 13 year old senior dog.

Through these same years I’ve met many curious faces and of course snarky remarks that were loud and obnoxious and obviously meant for me to hear.

Here are some of the reasons why someone would choose to get a pet stroller that I found online and thought made a point :

💁🏻‍♀️ Senior dogs - they can’t walk long and far but they still deserve to explore the World.

💁🏻‍♀️ Injuries/illness - you never know if the dog inside the stroller has had injuries or some illness.

💁🏻‍♀️ Breed - dogs with short snouts may have difficulty breathing, and of course you wouldn’t want to make a dog with short legs walk or run miles and miles.

💁🏻‍♀️ Safety - terrain, traffic, crowd, people with dogs clearly lunging over but still want to approach you.. sometimes the environment is more dangerous than you think.

💁🏻‍♀️ Convenience - being out for long hours, going to a far away place, bringing multiple pets on an outing

💁🏻‍♀️ Timid / anxious dogs - Many dogs are timid and fearful, afterall, nature is not supposed to look like concrete slabs and loud noises.

Strollers were designed for a purpose. And as with the evolution of humankind, and us deciding that dogs could be kept as pets, these strollers, more often than not, help ease the lives of us and our beloved dogs / cats / etc.

It is the owner’s choice to decide if their pet requires a stroller, and they would know best.

So before you think you are better than the pet’s owners, that you care so much to call them out for using a stroller, maybe you can take that time and effort to mind your own business first.

We appreciate your concern but no thank you.
