here's what happened:

✨ i decided to put my two weeks' notice in. i felt as if my input had been tossed aside when i was one of the few remaining senior employees there, and realized that wasn't right--

✨ so i asked for a reasonable raise. turns out i was being underpaid for the work i was doing after talking with a coworker!

✨ i was told it was possible! the hr team is so sweet and went to bat for me.

✨ i was offered less than my asking price.

✨ and so i went through with the two weeks, and decided to focus more energy on my full-time job, and the business i started in december!!

friendly reminder that women are less likely to be paid higher partially because we don't ask for more!!
