Im in school to be a doula, this is what I learned

The stress women experience in labor releases catecholamines or “stress hormones” that benefit both mother and baby. These hormones are so beneficial, in fact, that some people (if choosing to do cesarean) will vaginally labor for a period of time to release those hormones. There’s so much more I could say about that, I just find it genuinely so interesting.

On another note, I absolutely love posting to this app. I’m an introvert, so being able to post whatever I want without any one I know judging me is such a treat😅
