How I study for nursing school

I create a Word document that begins with the class and exam I’ll be studying for.

I include the topic of the week to identify what I should focus on more based on the exam (though I do read everything to ensure comprehensive understanding).

I make sure to include the headings from the PowerPoint slides so I can easily reference them and pinpoint where in the slides I’m focusing.

From the slides, I type up what I believe will be on the test and what will help me grasp the material better.

I print out these pages weekly and start studying the same week as the lecture, refreshing my memory with all the information once I have compiled everything that will be covered on the test.

While studying, I also carry a notebook and rewrite my slides by hand to enhance information retention.
