As someone who lost 18 pounds and is still trying to lose more these are my DOs and DONTs ✨

DO 💅

✨Calorie deficit (I was eating my maintenance calories (2000 ish for me) for the longest time before realizing I needed to get in a deficit (300-400 less)

✨Move your body. Girl when I tell you I didn’t find the perfect workout for me for years. My favs are - weightlifting, running (sometimes lol), dancing vids EMKFIT, Pilates, and cardio core

✨Self care days. Everyone needs them. And a nice full body shower w a book and some wine is PERFECT.

✨Spend time with God or meditate!

✨Eat the foods you love with a mindset of how many calories you can consume daily!

DONT ❌

❗️Restrict yourself. Yeah you probably hear this a lot, but I’m serious. I’ve still continued to eat RAMEN, fast food here and there, takeout, etc…. And I still lost the weight!

❗️Workout to lose weight. I mean that sounds dumb because obviously that’s why you’re doing it. But set a different mindset. Tell yourself it’s for your body and for you to feel good. (Bc it is trust me)

❗️Go all out. Don’t start with a deficit, working out 6 days a week, walking 10,000 steps, journaling, meditated, ALL AT ONCE - you’ll go crazy.

❗️COMPARE YOURSELF. damn do I do this a lot. But nobody is the same. Even if you see my body and say “we look alike” that means nothing. We work differently!
