This Book Broke My Heart & I LOVED It 🥹🖤

Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner has been at the top of bestseller charts for what feels like ages, and it's well deserved. A memoir read and loved by so many, it's written by the musician behind Japanese Breakfast. Her entry into music and the beginnings of her performing career are touched on, but the primary focus of the book is on Zauner's relationship with her mother, who passes away from cancer. Playing the role of caregiver - whether for a parent, grandparent, or a stranger - is such an intimate, life altering experience. Zauner wrote about it with such vulnerability, and she revealed so many pieces of herself and her connection to family, culture, food, and more. Crying in H Mart is ENTIRELY worthy of the hype, and I highly recommend it (plus the audiobook is excellent!!)
