Perfumes You Haven’t Heard Of

Unless you consider yourself a MAJOR fragrance connoisseur, I’m going to share with you a few fragrances you probably have never heard of!

LE LABO - Vanille 44

Did you know that Le Labo has a scent for each city they have a store in? And you can only buy that fragrance if you actually go to that city! Except for in September when they bring them to all the stores! This scent is specific to Paris for Le Labo and it is one of my favorite “vanilla” scents! This perfume doesn't present vanilla in its traditionally sweet, gourmand context. Instead, it's a complex, multifaceted scent that blends warm, rich vanilla with woody, smoky, and slightly spicy elements.

CLEAN RESERVE - Rain [Reserve Blend]

This was one of the first fragrances I ever photographed for social media! That said, I ended up gifting this to my dad. Rain has a fresh, aquatic scent profile. It aims to capture the essence of a rain-soaked moment in time, evoking the smell of rainfall on lush vegetation. This fragrance can be characterized as a crisp, clear, and invigorating scent that carries an essence of nature's tranquility. This perfume is considered unisex, being suitable for both men and women who enjoy a fresh, clean, and invigorating fragrance that brings to mind the refreshing sensation of a gentle rainfall.

MAISON KURKDIJAN - Gentle Fluidity

This is a fascinating fragrance because it comes in two versions, Gentle Fluidity Gold Edition and Gentle Fluidity Silver Edition. Both editions share the same 49 ingredients but are blended in different concentrations, resulting in distinct fragrances that embody different aspects of the same concept. Let’s focus on Gold since that is the one I have! Gentle Fluidity Gold Edition: This fragrance leans towards a warmer, sweeter scent profile. Key notes in this edition include juniper berries, nutmeg, coriander, musks, ambery woods, and vanilla. The composition opens with the spicy kick of juniper berries and nutmeg, evolving into a heart rich with ambery woods, and drying down to a cozy, comforting base featuring prominent vanilla. The Gold Edition portrays an elegant, warm and somewhat sweet aura.

HENRY ROSE - Char

This brand was founded by actress Michelle Pfeiffer with a focus on transparency and clean, safe ingredients. It is is a unisex fragrance designed to encapsulate the evocative smell of fresh charred wood. The scent is characterized by a warm, woody profile that's simultaneously comforting and intriguing. Henry Rose fragrances are known for being free from harmful chemicals and allergens, making them a favorite among those who prefer clean, eco-conscious scents.
