HIDDEN GEM: BOOK THRIFTING 💗🥰

HEY GUYSSS!

a new secondhand book store called evernew recently opened at beauty world:) WHICH MEANS for all of you avid readers out there this is the perfect opportunity to go and buy books at cheaper prices.

the books that I looked at there were priced around $5-$20 iirc, but I only looked at the fiction books 😽 so it may vary for the non-fics!

in terms of variety, I do think they had quite a lot. there were SO many books crammed into the small shop but it didn't feel overcluttered. for fiction, there were mystery and thriller authors like Dan Brown, contemporary books like The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Japanese fiction, etc so I'd say there should be something for everyone! there were also shelves stacked with non-fiction books e.g. Yuval Noah Harari's Homosapiens and the self-help kind.

quality of the books varied as you might expect at any thrift shop, so you just have to look carefully and find what's okay for you 😊 one of the books I bought was actually wrapped in plastic and in pretty good condition so I was pretty happy 💯

vibes-wise the place was clean, not dusty, and well-lit! it also wasn't toooo crammed and the owners were quite nice hehe <3

have been wanting to read more Japanese fiction so I bought books by Murakami and Ishiguro! total damage 💸 : $18.20 for 2 books - still cheaper than what you can get at kinokuniya!!
