i’ve spent a lot of time trying to make myself better before realizing that it starts with me! if i take myself and what i like and what works for me, that’s what’s gonna make me better. above are some tips that i’ve learned on my journey to a happier life.

disclaimer: im not talking abt gaining or losing weight, i mean taking who you are (genetics, personality) and using that to your advantage to be a better you! externally AND ESPECIALLY internally.

externally:

1. find clothes that FIT you. don’t try to go a size smaller or bigger (your size is what makes you UNIQUE) finding clothes that fit your body type is the best first step to looking your best.

2. find a color pallet. there’s a bunch of different pallets based on your aesthetic and your skin tone and hair and eye color! finding the one that fits and using it to style yourself will help you immensely. you can use https://colorwise.me/self-analysis to help find the color pallet that best suits you!

3. healthy eating: this isn’t abt eating your vegetables and avocado toast every morning (even tho a balanced diet is GREAT for you), this is abt when you eat and how much to eat. two big meals and one small meal is the the best way to do it. a big breakfast, small lunch, and a big dinner is a perfect way to balance your food intake. - i’ll do a separate post on what i eat in a day if you’re interested.

4. keep moving! full on working out isn’t needed to be fit and healthy, just taking walks around the park can get you feeling healthier than ever!

internally:

1. start a gratitude journal! just listing things you’re grateful for can make you feel happier abt your life and your good mood will reflect on others.

2. being kind to others. being kind will make everyone’s day better! compliment them! thank them for something! even just smiling at someone will work wonders.

3. self care is everything! take care of yourself with skincare, watch your favorite movie, go on a solo date or take on some hobbies! anything that makes you happy

4. keep a schedule! try to plan out your day. i’ve found it to be beneficial in leaving you feeling relaxed and put together.
