We as mothers are our own worst critics. We want to be able to do it all and even if we accomplished 90 other things in a day we are kicking ourselves for the one thing we didn’t accomplish. I used to be OVERCOME with mom guilt. It used to steal so much of my joy in motherhood and I still have my days. Once I stopped and really thought about where these thought were coming from I began to give myself so much more grace.

I know my circumstances. I know when I’m not feeling well and need to use TV, when I’ve been up with a kid all night and don’t have the energy to clean the house or when I am running late and need to run through a drive through instead of making a homemade meal. And God does too. When I realized none of the shameful thoughts were coming from anyone but myself I learned to let things go.

On the days you have 20% to give and you give 20%, you still gave 100%. Read it again 🤍🤍
