3 Fast Growing & Easy-Care Trailing Houseplants

I want to do another plant post since I genuinely think everyone should have plants in their home. I especially love large trailing vining climbing houseplants because I do think they add so much to the home interior.

Philodendron micans - I got a 4 inch pot over a year ago, and so far, it’s quadrupled the size for me. If you leave it out in a sunny spot, the leaves will maintain their deep red purple color. Mine is hung un the backyard at the moment, and it’s really loving life. It also will do just fine in darker spot in your home. The droopy soft leaves are their sign to tell you to water the plant.

Scindapsus pictus ‘exotica’ - I love how random the leaf sizes can get like you cannot predict how the next growth point would be. It used to be a full and long plant, but I chopped off some spare tips and repropate them (to make the plant looking fuller!). It’s sitting in a darker spot at my new apartment, but so far, it seems to be doing just fine.

Cebu blue pothos - This plant used to be so hard to get. I’d love to have it trail and climb all over my space (perhaps in a greenhouse if I ever get to own a house!), but for now, it’s doing ok. I love the blue tint (you’d have ot stare at them or look at them in the sun), and how fast and satisfying to watch it grow. Note that this plant belongs to the Epipremnum genus that is toxic to dogs and cats if ingested.
